Grippin` Reality Channel cat, blue-skinned and fat. Swimmin` on his hook, “Look at that!” As he stood to his feet, his eyes bustin` wide. Holdin` his cane pole high he moved side to side Knowin` his catch would be, tonight, a pride He grabbed hold his stringer patiently threads it through He displayed his catch sayin`: “Look here it’s Ol’ Blue.” Said He’d been after that catfish for almost a year, or two “No one’s gonna believe this, I finally caught Ol’ Blue.” Months went by when I next saw that old man On the same jetty, fishin`, his cane pole in hand. He said he was a’fishin` for an old cat named Blue Then he said:“Hey Mr. how-bout you.” I know I looked puzzled, cause his stare went right through. Then he said: “Oh heck Mr., that was Ol’ Blue You don’t eat your friends… Your friends, you hold true…” |

I like this very much... and you've told truth... I know many who find the fun in the trying, not in the catch. *S* |

Sometimes the attempt is more fruitful and meaningful than the prize... Well done, Sir. |

Excellent write...I always throw back what I catch.. and lots of times I think I'm catching the same ol fish over and over. Enjoyed this I did! Hugs~ In the midst of winter, |
