Christmas lights
on all the stores
around the square

The air is cold
and white with snow

Cars like sleeping animals
parked along the road

Children dream
of times to come—
while parents muse
on those that were

prompts a comforting sigh...love the image of the cars, especially

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

You are quite right you know...
well said and much enjoyed.

In the midst of winter,
I found there lives within me..
An invincible summer.
