Anthony and Cleopatra were sailing on a barge,
Said Anthony to Cleopatra, my your asp is large,
Anthony went swimming in the Nile beside the boat,
As Cleopatra said to him, I doubt that you can float
For long with all that armor, you will sink soon like a rock,
While my asp and I are back, at dry land on the dock.

Anthony was gurgling in the currents of the Nile,
Gazing up at Cleopatra, who had this smirky smile,
I am sorry for my comment, your asp is not that large,
Would you please forgive my tongue, and pull me in the barge?
I sphinx I’ll let you swim a Nile, Cleopatra she replied,
While I head off to river’s shore, while you get mummified.

Now Cleo finally said enough, and pulled Anthony inside,
And went ashore and off they went on a two humped camel ride,
They played some hieroglyphics and danced on King Tut’s tomb,
Until wee hours of the knight, Sir Lancelot’s in the room,
Now if this poem don’t make sense, it is not as it does seem,
For you see this poem, is but a pyramid scheme.

Very nice play of words

And then in the end her asp
brought her to ruin.

This was fun.

When I got to the part about Lancelot, I simply whispered, "Hey I want what he's having!"   Pyramid thinking huh?  I shall try that!

Happy New Year to you and your fine lady.
