A sound of a brook I cannot see water trickles in from source a melted icicle A smell of an unopened rose unhinged from it's native bed I am removed from these sequences caught in a lifelong tunnel eyes set at the light at the end. A way to cope with a daily routine of the modern factory sort one is as good as his last sale teachers look younger then before only I am getting older at each door more removed from the source of my dreams poems appear from their knotted reams I fear I cannot reach the tunnel's end to sample that clear spring water to smell the scent of unplucked rose I am far removed from these sequences buried in the world of to have diminished by society wherein I serve its purpose and my identity is traded off for consumer benefits fostered by a malicious paranoia of states that chronically need to defend redefend and buttress their social views at the expense of whatever obstructs their way... |

The good, the bad, and the ugly. I especially loved the good and beautiful parts! ~ Don't we all! I suppose the unpleasant things in life are thrown in for good measure! ~ kinda to balance things out! I suppose Earth isn't supposed to be heaven! Heaven is what awaits us at the end of the tunnel! Wishing you safe passage! Some of your images were so beautiful, they actually made me sigh. Fascinating write! Linda |

Linda, Is't that the basis of at least several philosophies...the reason we are here is to cultivate that interest for the end, when the end becomes the beginning for something much more dignified Maureen, Not a brainful, no. If only I could be less elaborate with words I say to myself sometimes..but I'd be compromising much of the wit. I can come out quite directly with what I'd like to say only this subtler means comes across more effectively ... [This message has been edited by ecrivan (12-22-2004 09:21 PM).] |
