In deepest of night Sunlight now moves far away Then starts creeping back. I feel the fading Joyous in depredations touch Matching my stone heart When there’s no darker I’ll know the year has ended And the light returns. In this longest night Sacrifices have been made Without my wishes Where is my cap stone To seal me back in my room Away from the light? Pull the thick cover Let my pillow be a tomb For an endless night My body betrays Waking me much too soon, Showing the new sight. My arms still carries, My feet move me onward still Into new day plunge Can I face the bright? More of day and less of light? What choice is there left? Gloom |

When there’s no darker I’ll know the year has ended And [yet] the light returns. ~*~ The sun and moon make their own seasons, do they not, professor? We are too structured to a calendar to appreciate the natural ryhthm and internal beat of the Mother... and of the Father... |
