To ride a cloud

A puff of smoke, a feather blown,
how blue the sky I long to roam
and disappear beyond the reach
of ever moving vocal cords.

To ride a cloud; what bliss I say
to float above the din of day
and empathize with each rain drop
its fall and plummet down to earth.

Listen! I can hear love breathe
from where I’m gliding so at ease
until the shock of my desire
like thunder rumbles in my ears.

And way out there in blue, blue, sky
my heart sounds need to freely glide
and not cascade back down to earth
the distinctive feel of wanting you.

How fragile are the clouds on high
to drop love down into my mind
so effortlessly and easily
through life’s great hullabaloo!

Thanks, Dixie. They say creativity flows from the soul but I wonder if from the soul we create reality.
