In this least little vessel made of love— I’ll finally rest the day I met you dressed in blue that autumn night beneath your stars— the moment I saw you close those eyes placing a hand in mine The way your hair spread in the wind— over the pillow as we lay together under an amber moon Words we said will go as well All I was when you were near— Cast adrift without recourse into a nameless universe Free at last in time’s indifference— and away from harm by lesser gods http://www.kalliope.org/digt.pl?longdid=lawrence2001061776 |

Words we said will go as well All I was when you were near— ahhh, remembering the way he smelled and sounded as he slept, peaceful, tranquil, with a smile on his face...watching him in the night light, with a glow upon his body glistening in time with the moon, with our time...that moment... Kinda makes life more then worthwhile, doesn't it? Beautifully written and felt. |
