In The Words Of A Picture

Sitting amidst the beauty
Of Autumn with colors so bold
The scene unfolded before her
In shades of red, brown, and gold

The picture was so beautiful
It could have been a painting of art
Giving a sense of peacefulness
From which she hesitated to part

As she sat there quietly
Under oak tree, huge and tall
She heard a rustle of leaves
Then, looking up, a small deer she saw

Trying to be perfectly still
She was making not a sound
Then the deer calmly walked away
After first eating some grass he found

She knew it was unusual
For such a scene to unfold
Found right before her eyes
Was natures beauty for her to behold

Meanwhile the wheels of the car
in the ditch are still turning…

Such a gorgeous picture!  I see that lady viewing the couple down the path with a bit of envy, but who could be envious in all that beauty.  Well done.  KJ

You paint us a serene print of Nature's album as your words stroke the page in vibrant ink.  What a lovely vision you give us and while the picture is great, no need with your descriptive verse.  Believe me, I am a fanatic about imagery and Nature and you left some awesome images.  Very much enjoyed this wonderful write.
