With shoulders slumped and head hung low,
She ambled down path of despair.
Her spirit had lost all its luster and fire,
~ She was rudderless and going nowhere.

Around and around, and around she went,
~ She saw no beginning or end.
History kept on repeating itself,
With nothing new ‘round the bend.

She carried a weight on her shoulders,
A yoke encircled her throat.
Her boots were heavy and leaden,
There were hundreds of holes in her boat.

With nary a dime in her pockets,
She was beaten and broke and was sad.
She had fallen off of the Light Path,
And her luck turned from good ~ to all bad.

As she clung to the end of her life rope,
The skies opened up to gold rays.
Beings of Light began singing,
Of the end of her dark, dismal days.

She lifted her eyes to the heavens,
She opened her heart to Divine.
She stepped back onto the High Road,
As she welcomed the heavenly sign.

Her spirit rejoiced in the shining,
She was home where she did belong.
She vowed to never go straying,
As she joined the angels in song.
