Lonesome of the Heart ‘tis nothing at all akin to fairness this lonesome of the heart sharp sting, vague ache this heart it breaks still beats therein this lonesome of the heart all around you love resplendent lies still sunshine comes from hie the skies the birds they sing twittering merrily like an old song now a lost rhapsody faint is the call of violin’s play down long hall this lonesome of the heart pensive yearning no one’s learning from this, this lonesome of the heart ‘twill never be better as there is no other end ‘tis forlorn it is, my friend this lonesome of the heart so I will wait so you won’t know in winter’s gale we shall take a walk while we silently talk the bitter frozen air my tears shall meet and match my soul’s sigh you won’t see it ‘tis nothing at all akin to fair this lonesome of the heart vague stinging ache breaks heart rare but still will beat therein in this lonesome of the heart Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, then speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |

Sunshine In the lonesome of the heart There is a small and lovely part That is the very soul and core Of everything thing that you adore And there horizons yet to be That stay upon a southern sea And Islands that you seek as shoal To wrap around and warm your soul Some say it is a fantasy But in that dream is ecstasy |

Such a beautiful tribute Karilea. Maree into this night i wonder, it's morning that i dread, another day of knowing of, the path i fear to tread. |

Sunshine, Glad you wrote this! Sy is a wonderful, talented man who puts a smile on my face almost every day. I enjoyed your poem and his beautiful reply to it, as well as others response. This is such a good atmosphere, a place where people express their hearts and share with one and other. Thanks again, cathy |

Wish I were Sy! Lucky guy. Aw Karilea that was lovely. Thank you for sharing with the rest of us. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

Sy was a great inspiration to me... and he taught me a lot by example. |
