Floating Above The Salt I unsuccessfully wrestled the monster within you and it is too much to try and tame your heart you keep measuring me against an unforgiving ruler and no matter how I inch closer I fall so short I do find you granted me touch deeper than most yet in my sorrow I have found a coarse dense stone time finds scratches did not even start to etch my name I held my breath dreaming of waters that might change but in blue I find no future being tied to a sinking rock even while I find my heart breaking on the waves it still beats and I refuse to drown submerged in salt |

I enjoyed this, but am sure I do not comprehend all the meanings. |

I understand this Helen, and no matter how deep your love might be ... save yourself and move to higher ground. Hugs, Chris |
