In simple terms it’s simply this …
but nothing is that simple
unless we make it so
by going with the flow.

Oh, yes, I beg of wind
rise up and blow a gale,
force the sea into obedience,
and suddenly and magically
I’m starting out again
fighting slipstream hazards
and dodging floating debris.

But I want to start again
simply to find you
at the stage of puberty
experimenting
because, simply because
I wouldn’t now be in the sea
rubbing salt into the wound
of all the many years
of simply not knowing.

In simple terms it’s simply this …
I’m floundering in sea,
thrashing back and forth,
and on the point of drowning
simply because
I’m going with the flow.

Oh, yes, I beg of wind,
cease this restless gale
but it’s simply not that simple …
nothing is that simple!

Thanks Dixie, Susan, and EA for the read. I guess I'm also a bit lost in this wind-tossed sea of life but I surely know by now that I'm a survivor ... until I'm not.
