Listening to every heart

Lost Scattered Mind

Once the gray begins to recede,
once that happens
the argument begins, Moral and Rancid
finding ways to belittle, uphold
Old Gooseberry,

quite literally, two voices banging strident
and my head aches as they volley
retorts back and forth,
back and forth…

She will write of white silk clinging
to tree arms, how they look warm…

until Old Gooseberry leaves behind
the Cold kiss

and there it is again…
the beautiful moment, erased as if
it never existed,
by a mere thought…

Oh, she will write of beautiful,

but sees the honesty of life,
feels the heartbreak of loss,

even though she declines to weep…

oh, it will catch up with her,
eventually…

I admire her strength…

That’s when Silence takes over,
drowning Old Gooseberry’s companions
into oblivion
and the duller, darker gray returns
hoping to shield until healing begins

and in the Silence, that is when the tree arms
are warm, with white silk dripping wet
before the freeze, that is when the
cavern sounds clear their call,
knowing where warm hearts wait in healing,
beckoning come

and the lost scattered mind
hears them, their calm quiet
warm heartbeat sounds of

here, where you can cry
and no one will know…
I will hold you with Silence,
and Warmth, and bear you into
tomorrow,
when the gray will recede once again
into blue, and rainbows will be found
under the Sun…

even in the dead of winter…

where all is natural
as it should be…

It is then the third voice of
Sanity whispers

and I crawl
to the cavern of Knowledge
to heal.

And you are far from being alone,  as we
sit...and a candle detects the slightest
breeze...

cave place comfort
and healing
like the candle waxing
let it move slow
til it is resolved

You hit the nail right on the head here, Sunshine!  I like the depth of this.   So, if one finds oneself in a lost scattered mind, hush and feel its warmth?  Right?  Hm.  I'll work on it...

   Enjoyed the thought and word

When icy slush dumps on candle's light,
The rainbow day loses to darkest plight.
No joy rings out from pitiless night,
Nor blossoms display in gaudy delight.

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

I know this only too well...

very clever and wonderfully put together.

I like this side of your pen

we can always count on "Old Gooseberry" to have his say..eh?

into this night i wonder, it's morning that i dread, another day of knowing of, the path i fear to tread.

Those with sensitive and poetic souls could not help but understand and appreciate your words, Dear Rays of Sun...

You are a mistress poet! I mean, a poet's mistress! ~ Ooops! I still don't have it right. You are a MASTER POET! Indeed, that ye be!

"quite literally, two voices banging strident
and my head aches as they volley
retorts back and forth,
back and forth…"

An angel on one,
The other, Gooseberry weights;
Aching both shoulders
*
Her pen explains her sweet dreams,
But devils kiss her awake.

"here, where you can cry
and no one will know…
I will hold you with Silence,
and Warmth, and bear you into
tomorrow,
when the gray will recede once again
into blue, and rainbows will be found
under the Sun…"

But there is refuge;
A silent place that beckons,
Where the angel reins.
*
Where sky's hold always arches,
That sun through white silk prisms.

"It is then the third voice of
Sanity whispers

and I crawl
to the cavern of Knowledge
to heal."

"Sanity whispers"
The third voice is the third eye,
She queries the entity.
*
Old Gooseberry shivers, quakes;
He cannot smite her angel.

Your poetry inspires me....:-)

Enjoyed this well written poem..
