Disappointment gets easier with every thrust I no longer mourn what I thought was us Today spills into tomorrow and seeps color into yesterday reminding it's best not to betray what hurts and what was lost how blood can pay the cost I shrug and wipe up saline tears shuffling aimlessly biting off the years "cast me gently into the morning, for the night has been unkind" |

"Disappointment gets easier with every thrust I no longer mourn what I thought was us" I'm still getting there but it's nice to know that others have succeeded. Lovely write! |

lol... You asked for it Dave... The reason it is short changed (yes, you are right) is because I was doing my meter count on my right hand with a kitten in my lap... ouch...I gave up adding to the poem least I lose a finger... Thank you all for the responses... "cast me gently into the morning, for the night has been unkind" |
