Sweeping Past street-sweeper, street-sweeper sweep me some street clean up my act for whom I might meet gather the leaves autumn’s tossed ‘round collect them, lift them so they can’t be found erase, if you might, crimson stains that are there yellow and brown ones erase them with care the past is the past it can only malign and weaken the promises made in my mind an oath to myself and the Father above to find a semblance of reason for accepting His love there’s no way to earn the redemption He brings but believing I’ve changed may help me to sing I need to remove the self-centeredness here find a way to conceive my way’s been made clear how can I know I’ve grown, I’ve improved, without looking at self and follow my moves to swallow, as fact, I’m a new person today who considers her friends in the words she will pray ©November 26, 2004 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

enjoyed this - self introspection - and of learning compassion - nice Susan Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |
