Food for thought... would not a quirky turkey go running through the woods, his legs and wings all jerky, not knowing where he stood might he come upon a tree thinkin’ he could hide than look at me seein’ he (poetic license) sword and rifle by my side he’d then suck in his gullet his wings, tail-feathers, too, feeling like some pullet, afraid what I might do if you’re not certain what I’m saying ‘bout a quirky turkey in the woods he’d sure become a chicken and the news would not be good yep, a plucky, clucky turkey he’d be with chicken legs that would rattle, go berserky and taste fine with deviled eggs ©November 24, 2004 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |
