Today's a day for laughter, Cackling right out loud. Make a person smile today, Captivate a crowd. They might look at you And think you're very odd, Might tell you 'bout comedians Out looking for a job. Make some faces-tell some jokes, Be a clown for just one day, You might cheer up a sad someone, Make some worries go away. Sadly life won't always flow Like the melody of song, Admire the one that can still laugh, When everything goes wrong. Note: Lady Chipmunk wrote me once and told me she took this next line from an old poem of mine and kept it with her all the time...said she read it everyday....I think she probably did, and I think she did smile everyday. "Smiles that are worth More than anything on earth Are the smiles that shine thru tears...." |
