She touches his sleeping face
teasing him awake
to gaze upon her cold beauty.

She beckons and he follows
barefoot out onto the
dew wet grass.

Dance the moon she whispers
Dance she commands
Dance.

His arms reach to hold her
but she is as moonlight
cold and distant.

Dance the moon she whispers
Dance and dance again
Dance she commands.

And his feet slowly start to move
his body sways to her rhythm
drawn to her...warmth.

Lost in her, lost in the night
swaying in the moonsoft darkness
wet with dew and his own tears.

Dance the moon she whispers
Dance to me again
Dance until we part

Dance the moon he whispers
as they slowly lead him away
dance as they turn the key.

Dance the moon she whispers
