A Time Not So Far Away

So this is how it feels
to be in love with
a beautiful girl.
In the morning,
until the evening
she brightens all
my waking hours,
and now I yearn
for the day,
when she knows
that she loves me
as much as I
love her,
and she will stay,
in the morning and
through the evening,
a time not so
far away.

I used to make that wish and then sometimes I wondered whether it was my lack of looks, or background or anything else that sounded negative and would do as an excuse.

If you talk to a woman you'll hear the term "men" as a generic.

Talk to a man and the same only this time it is "women" who are generic.

Everyone does what they do for their own reasons which have often nothing to do with anything but their own worlds.

I'd like to see you take the idea in these words a lot further.
