Her voice does not come as often now, as it did back then. What once was heard loud and clear is now heard as distant whispers on the wind.
She will not be silenced.
The images have faded to dim, no longer are they sharp in my minds eye view. Her curves and colors have all changed with the progression of time, and I wonder, perchance would she still know me?
She is, unforgettable.
The way she wore her tranquility made me feel safe, secure and comfortable like a blanket of warmth on a cold winters night.
I marveled at her beauty was in awe of her power, and grateful that she would welcome me home faithfully, every day.
I drifted with time, and in time, moved on. Sometimes, when the sun warms the day and falls upon this pale of skin I can feel her spirit fill me
I hear her in the breeze....
the mountain is calling me home.
{with a special thank you for the title help... }
The greatest beauty on earth, is found in the hearts of those who love....

One thing that is for certain ~ when you poetically speak, I listen.
Lovely as lovely gets.

Oh, you've got to listen to those mountains...
they speak just as much to our soul as any tree, river, or ocean...
well done, Dear!

Truly a beauty here, my friend...soft, loving and faithful too. My first thought was mother, and I guess I was right in a way...Earth Mother counts too.
Much enjoyed the taste of this...

Beautiful...and full of the passion of belief in what is, and what has been learned from the past, and what will be.

G.S. I can relate to this poem in a personal way.. I was born a flatlander, lived half my life as such....but there was always a restlessness, an iritation of the spirit that haunted me.... It was the mountains that were calling me home...
Your poem stirred old spirtual emotions, surfaced thoughts about my choice to move towards their grace, and the reasons I took the path that lead to them, and never looked back.
Thank you ____________ice ><>

Linda, I appreciate you listening! Hugs.
Kari, indeed they do lady...
Nancy, Its very hard to ignore that voice hon!
Jimmy, you make me smile with that lovely comment, and yes, we can NOT forget the Earth Mother...
Susan, that's so sweet dear, hugs.
JL, I am glad there are others who still hear. People can get so wrapped up in life that they forget to listen.
Dix, I didn't find it, it found me! I would glady send some your way.
Martie, exactly! Your words remind me of an old saying Live for today, dream of tomorrow, and learn eternal truths from past.
Ice, your sharing of thoughts touches me! Yes, the lure has a very magical feel to it.
Marge, your a doll my friend!
ohhh Maree...you have no idea of how much that means to me! Hugs.
Ethel its good to see you and I'm so glad you could feel it with me.
My thanks to each of you! The greatest beauty on earth, is found in the hearts of those who love....

Donna, I could have sworn you were talking about my grandmother throughout this poem until you got to the end, and I will hold onto this one if you don't mind, as this truly spoke her.
quote: The way she wore her tranquility made me feel safe, secure and comfortable like a blanket of warmth on a cold winters night.
Simply beautiful and you have every right to be proud of this one, it is truly lovely.
