The Loss of Words w. james beard, jr © november 2004 . Between cries and breath there is a momentary silence where one wonders if life has ceased to be, wonders if the baby is chuckling to itself knowing this moment of respite for it’s parents is a lifetime long. Between life and the final breath there is a silence as the soul poises on the brink, an exhaustive sigh as it passes, a hush as all realize it’s gone. Silence. . . at the end of a song, when two hearts meet, a breath-held pause as love reaches it’s peak, the quiet after – amen. Silence, the loss of words at the end of this line. . . A breath held pause as love reaches it's peak, and after amen... I didn't copy this Jimmy, I just closed my eyes and recanted the best ever... Wonderful write. TD |

Oh, I like this perspective - excellent - Susan Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |
