where the wild flowers grow

0 posted 2004-07-29 03:10 PM

The screens have fallen off of my windows again,
and droplets of your name have formed in humid rant.
There is nothing subtle about the letters, the formations,
the geometric shapes that stick so modestly untill I clean
them away myself.
At times I do wish that you would disappear completely,
the hint of you on my clothing and
in my memory, burned there as if I were a carcass to
be morphed in to.

I could never be rid of you.

Even now there are pieces of your eyes
lying on my floor, watching me undress and dress again.
You are a miserable spy,
stealing my childhood and my innocent convictions.
Your arms still protruding out of my walls,
trying to embrace me as if I were owned.
Holding me now and again, imagining my comfort,
still absent in your warmth.

I can never be rid of you, nor
your faint ignorant smell...you
had a choice to be..
and still, never were.

You never cease to amaze me! I'll bet in 100 years people will be reading your words and wondering how the heck you did it!

It is always a pleasure to read you

Kaoru,
Seems you have my attention... Intense and telling.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
