Of Metaphor The poetry of metaphor The one that makes the human roar Charging into fantasy Of agony and ecstasy Calling out each night and day Seeking help to find the way. Noah’s ark upon the sea Looking for eternity Sending phantoms into wiles All in very different styles Done in coded symbol’s spore Looking for the evermore Letting doves to spy the land A shore upon a truer stand A place of love and mental peace No matter how the length of lease Watching dove seek out the shore I wonder what’s a metaphor |
