Sugar I sit here in silence except for the untimely child-like screaming from my feline companion. No sleep for either of us as I watch the clock waiting for the sun to rise even if behind the clouds and mist. I am losing all that is dear to me, one at a time, not understanding its purpose, just knowing I can't seem to stop any of it. Too early to do anything but caress her, and whisper to her that I am here, trying to keep her calm until another hour passes... and another. M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." |

M~ Is Sugar the cats name? We have four right now..*sigh* two kittens are ready for a new home...yet I can't bring myself to take them away from their mother.. I was up with you this morning, waiting with you.. "cast me gently into the morning, for the night has been unkind" |

Good morning Susan, yes Sugar is her name...a white long haired Persian. Seems this past month I thought her crying was for missing me on and off as I was with my sister. But last night she left my side and since then can't walk or move, whenever she tries she screams extremely loud. So she and I have to suffer together until her appointment at 4 this afternoon....a long wait for both of us. M |

Keep us posted please... |

I feel the love and sorrow in this. We had a dog named Jasmine who was one of the most loving and valued friends. She developed cancer of the spine. It was most difficult. My heart to you -- may the winds of good fortune blow your way. Susan Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |

Thank you Susan and Lee, I appreciate your thoughtful words. My life will be so empty if it is something too serious to correct. ~~*~~ Four More Hours There it is, that new mirror catching a glimpse of me as I pass by wondering how long before the broken old gives up its hold and lets in some sunshine. A break yesterday, in weather and company, allowing me to smile and even laugh a bit. But that was yesterday. How quickly the day/night can turn on me leaving me exhausted and with a speed of beating heart that can make its own music. My throat having to swallow to keep it to myself. More hours to go, the wait quiet so far. She has found a comfortable position while I am constantly checking for breathing and movement, something so familiar. My mind asking itself "why now?" |

M, I'm sorry for your pain. It doesn't seem right. Please know I care and think of you often. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

Maureen, I am so sorry to her of Sugar's pain. About a year or more ago, I thought we were going to have to put my daughter's little weiner dog down because she was that way and howling out in pain. I remembered once I had heard that MSM (Lignisul MSM is a relative to dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), a unique therapeutic agent used worldwide in the treatment of many painful and inflammatory conditions). We started giving her very small doses (much smaller than a human would take) and she improved 100%. A vet had actually seen her and said the only thing that would help was a $2000 surgery on her neck -- well, apparently, that was not true! I know cat's are much different in the makeup, but sometimes somethings that help us, help them. I hope she gets better. ....jo |

thank you all for your caring thoughts..it seems that even though Sugar is eating a bit now, the vet has consulted with another and feels she has cancer or something abnormal going on...wants more tests done in 2 weeks, but I will probably let her just live her life comfortably until I feel she is in pain.
