welcome

friends

and thieves of heart

my door is open

here thou art

granted access

given leave

to take the very

dregs of me

prisms

on the floor

impart

nothing up my sleeve

Oh what?

is this nuisance

bothering

nodding nodding

"pray, I greet"

Grant me

brief departure please?

Then shoot me in the back

I plead:

"I don't wanna know."

I guess this doesn't apply to me, as I always sit with my back to the wall.
Well done Ser.  hugs, Chrislane

Chrislane? This one wasn't written for anybody in these blue pages. tsk...

Just a bit of inspiration I found while contemplating the prospect of having to hostess a party for people that I don't like and who don't like me.

All that phoniness, yanno? Thus the "kiss-kiss" title...that "air kissy" thing that people do to pretend that they like somebody they'd rather not even TOUCH.

smile?

You folks ain't phonies. I know. I've seen you all nekkid. I read your poetry!

I can see this one!
Phoniness and insincerity drive me crazy...

When I don't like people, they know it...
Take my father for example. Heh, he knows!

Love your writing. Always so real...

Always, Alyssa

Now gist wait one country minit here, Serenity.  The only time ya seen me nekked is when I wrote Bath Away the Day, I Say!(Sadie/Sadelite).Granted, I wrote a poem about my daughter hurrying me to the mall when I was sitting in my slip at the computer.  But...I remembered to run back in the house for my skirt in the nick of time (not nekked at all dat time!).

I know exactly what you've so creatively and expertly conveyed!  Nice job!  I've missed ya.

I read in one of your replies, what the inspiration for this poem was and that made the poem all the more perfect to me!

Yes, I do so know what you mean by those phony, airy, kissy-kisses! Oh, well, I must admit that I've given a few of them myself! As they say, "When in Rome, do as the Romans do!" lol ~ but I usually kiss with lots of love behind it!

Sending you a big, warm, real hug!
Linda
