Hey, riddle diddle, I've a pouch on my middle, I have two big powerful thighs. I can leap a fence, in a single bound, And I've long-lashed, big brown eyes. My tail is feared by many, It can break a man in half. I kick hyenas, in their butts, And take away their laugh. My arms are short and stubby, My ears have sex appeal. I live in the Land Down Under, And I eat leaves for every meal. ~*~ I'm a roo of some distinction, I kanga 'cross the plain. Just minding my own business, And you won't hear me complain! |

Susan ~ As you know I wrote "The Masked Bandit" about a raccoon. Then yesterday I wrote 8 poems, one about a cow which I have entitled "Elsie". I'll be posting that one later in the week. I really enjoy writing for children ~ but I am also pleased that adults seem to appreciate those poems as well. Have a successful day! ~ I'll be roo-ting for you!  Linda |
