I Only Have Ice for You

I think I’ll write a story
about the concept of ice
though I know it will get
a chilly reception

Like icicles and icebergs
that help with its conception.
Glaciers and ice floes
amass for its perception
They foil most any device
no matter what contraption.

Ice cubes and ice blocks
help refrigeration
bags of ice and molds of ice
can cool a celebration.

So if ice leaves you cold
use your imagination
it’s been around since times of old
a boon to every nation.

Boon, and bane.... This poem triggered little things for me....some quite good, and some bad enough that I will spend the rest of today trying not to think about them.
