there are lessons to be dealt with
I lie on a spatter of words
arranged and rearranged

how easy it is to scribble a moment

I write of all the occurrences in the sea
those which lie in me
the tides and their curiosities
that beat around and pound the shore
to form the crescent lines of
your face

I trace

the scars
and in a damp way
bury them to another coast

with the bluntness of my thumb

I, too, write for catharsis.

and here you are, your heart spilling, even as you try mightily to hold back the tide.

love this

love you

Maree

I picture you with a pencil, sketching and using your thumb to soften the lines...you do that in this poem.  Lovely!

Careful with that thumb, Lady!

You could be causing some poor map-maker a misery.

Loved it Darkone

What's cooler than (being) cool? Ice cold might work for Outkast, but I think it's a Maree poem.
