Hey Winter
isn't it a little early
for you to show
your lovely face?

Hey Autumn
what happened
to the long fall
that I wanted?

Hey Summer
where'd you go
so quick-like;
after three weeks
you were gone.

Hey Winter
No one believes me
but I know you're
here to stay.

So I'll wave goodbye
to the green grass
the green trees
and warm riding
(for another six
or seven months)

and instead gear up
for my favourite riding
time;
there's something about
riding in the snow,
just me and my horse,
the rest of the world asleep...

and then He created the horse...

Now this sounds like a dream come true Rhonda...I can see the images and feel the freedom of this ride.
VERY well done.

The greatest beauty on earth, is
found in the hearts of those
who love....

Well done...here in MN we have two seasons: winter and road construction!

Just lots of rain for me, here. I love those snow, but not enough to have it that long. Riding in it does sound so great, though. Well said
