Rain reflecting off the Moon, wash my heart free of all feeling, all hope. Soak me through to the skin of my soul. Clothe me in dampened dreams. Let the stars be liquid and melt into the darkness. Take love and wash it away. Hang all love thoughts out to dry. Place a veil across the Moon's Face, as black and dark as the void within my heart. Rain pouring over the Moon, cleanse me with tears of loss, with drops of unwanted pain. Drown me deeply in the eddies of sadness. Float my passion down streams of abandonment, to the rivers of jagged sobs. Let the throb of each raindrop pulse and patter upon the roof of a house that covers over unkept strands of endearments made, the fragmented pieces of moonbeams. Rivulets that merge with anguished seas. |

"Let the throb of each raindrop pulse and patter upon the roof" ~ so poetically expressive. Ivy Rose, both you and your poetry have been missed by this reader ~ and fan. Tears welled in my eyes as I read your wistful and ever so sad mots of heartbreak. EA |
