Once nautical felicitous of aerial, blended play in clay pots The earth in celebration gave roots divine Venturing a limb into my heart, that stirred of magic As leaf, then flower so became, drawing wing and finally whisper Not in folklore, or vintage vagabond…but as in a new creation Soft grass slippers padded footprints gently on the sand Leaving but a kissed impression, undeniable, indestructible That the sky blushed blue and opened spaces in the white clouds Of golden fingers, passages to heaven, a map for heart and soul So beautiful the entwine of spirits, that whisper rose in autumn Deeper, growing deeper in a throaty pigment of red and jolly orange Until the shores pulled back in sigh, gulping of the wonder at its edges And dawn shone her lovely face in fringe of pink and purple make Waving slowly to the fall of day, tickling the world into repose at sunset And night call became the howling of return…return to the arms of all And bowed, my body and my mind in one naked moment heard These ancient tongues that called the sun and the moon to light As love received his name Copyright Kkh 10/17/04 |

Kathy, you amaze me with the broad spectrum of topics that you can write so well. Each a gem, as are you. Very well done! |

Until the shores pulled back in sigh, gulping of the wonder at its edges The above line and the last line are my very favorites of this vibrant, peaceful piece. Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |
