I long for the forgotten The days when cliché’s were hip When a walk upon sunset beach Was more than a grin Where age was wisdom And longevity revered “I love you” was more than a passing And *friends* more than a word When being neighborly Meant knowing your neighbors Not merely a wave From passing van And people meant something To be valued and kept Not thrown to the wolves After your needs had been met Was there ever a day? When money did not rule And the soul was remembered And a word was true Where God could walk A smile upon his face For here he saw compassion Amongst the human race s.a.t. Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |

Well, if you can gather up Frankie and Annette, I am sure I can get the spot on the beach and a few dozen people who would enjoy that escape. I do know what you mean in this one and it would be nice to go back to times when there really was time to take notice of what is important. And to think, they call this progress. "?" |

LeeJ - I think we can, if only we weren't so tired from the pace of things- littlewing - childhood - yes, the time to dream and to pause a moment to consider the clouds in the sky - I just wish things were slow again, time for people, for hearts, for soul, for caring for one another - that is what is so nice about these blue pages - people take the time - Thank you all - SusanHappiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.
