What I couldn't say, words that came way too close to the textures of your patience, the radiance of love, sudden and given to slay such brilliant echoes in the mind, still to let it lie still, love that was evident and pent by the slender darkness that now cradles my limbs in its tender raiment of thirst, as a tremor crosses over my slivered haunch, weakened at your insistance, encripted upon the vigilance of wind, and what I couldn't touch, much the same presence, opaque, a mere reflection of love given to the wind, written with sand by the hand in silence, impatient gestures bound over limbs, wounds at last grow mammoth and clothe me in a sabbath of thirst, the worst of it still tender to the lips, less vigilant now, no words for love to shelter. 2004 copyright BabygirLPress |

I read this several times - it is textured and layered and the words intrigue - no words adequate here - Susan Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |

been reading your offerings here... I enjoy talent... and I enjoy one who can put into words the images and the feelings that are so often difficult to pin down..the ellusive and the concrete mixed by you... hold well to the challenge... you have both talent... and the ability to weave gossamer into steel. now..I'll leave you be..lol.. before you think I am as bad as Toe.. |

Contabo... Thank you for taking the time to read me...it is much appreciated...as for the critiques...simply because I do very little revision of my work at all...How you see it is pretty much how it was born....it is a raw exhalation of whatever emotion(s) I am feeling...in the moment, and that's how I present it....raw...and in the moment... love&light, **babygirL** **Intoxicant to the SouL** |

Ok, I understand raw and in the moment.... But is that what the GREAT poets did?? Just scribble down whatever came to them in the moment?? I think not. I believe that exhaustive thought must go into poetry. No poem "comes" out perfect. PIP is deteriorating into a posting frenzy that has no meaning to true poetry. Unfortunately, I think that your presence is adding to that. Please post ONE poem per day and comment meaningly to 3 others for every one post of yours. I am going to bring this to the attention of moderators. Thank you for the response. Contabo |

(chuckling) exhaustive thought??? Contabo.. surely there is more to poetry than exhaustive thought.. and that even great poets wrote from heart and soul... My friend... poetry is the soul, through words expressed and images painted... why do you seem to take umbrance with someone who is showing both, poetry and soul? |

Contabo... I am sorry you seem to be at odds with the posting regulations in this forum...I find it amusing that you have taken it upon yourself to attempt to dictate how & how often and with what depth I, or anyone else on this board should respond to posts... Your opinion is irrelevant, as far as I'm concerned...and I couldn't care less whether or not you read anything I write...so if the volume of my posts is what's bothering you...just don't click on them...and focus on exhausting your efforts on your own work.
