The tender and light touch of your fingers
beneath my chin...lifting sadness from my
face...wiping away a solitary tear.

Oh how I treasure you for who you are,
for all you have become to me in this
life of trials and laughter  we both share.

How can I give to you one small bit
of what you unselfishly bestow upon
me?  Your eyes betray you, for from
them I feel it all, all of that which you
give...all of which you would leave
upon my palm, as I rest.

I have loved you deeply, though times
have brought storms into our lives as
winds of anger swirled around my feet.
As a misty veil clouded the beauty of
you and I struggled to see the treasure
that sprinkled upon me endlessly.

A day shall come, at some moment when
my life shall ebb into the seas...yet, I
smile...knowing that you will cast a rose
upon my waters, will plant a small yearling
tree in the earth above me...and you will
nurture it,   it and the rose....just as you
have showered such devotion and warmth
upon me all of these years...through sadness
and joy,  through pain and sickness,  through
moments of bliss and stumbles or falls,
for all time, all eternity...

Starting off with these first 3 lines...basically Barry, I believe, and I could be wrong, that this is what most women want and need, not much, yet enough to fill a lifetime...Bravo for seeing her inside!
