Listening to every heart

0 posted 2004-10-14 02:13 PM

ETA delayed by 10 hours...
lodged the night
in Wichita
among several elders who were enjoying
a 50th reunion of mates...

Sunday morning breakfast
my solitude was broken,
for a brief retrospective
smile at myself...

for she was some fifteen years
my senior, and coming towards me,
asked,

"Are you with the Oduros?"

Shaking my head,
she inspected me up
and down,

"Oh, you're       different!"

then she walked away.

But I nodded, agreeing,

"Yes.

I am very different, indeed."

Sunshiney bright!

The greatest beauty on earth, is
found in the hearts of those
who love....

Tee Hee - an amusing moment - thanks for sharing.

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.

Karilea

It's a good thing to be "different", and you are, more beautiful and special.  I love the whimsy of this.

To observe change is to observe growth. I'm glad we here are witnesses.  KJ

The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light
