Softly angled sunlight beams
diffuse themselves randomly
upon the edges of my dreams,
awakening me in poetic purr.

I reach with out stretched arms,
embrace the feel of your charms
caressing me seductively, gently
blending two souls into harmony.

Daylight breaks through a grayed mist,
blue haze fading into dandelion yellows
as the walls come alive with warmth of
lips smiling, remembering the feel of real.

Rolling out of bed, feet hitting the floor
I turn and whisper your name.
Suddenly the serene scene reverses,
as the chilling fog of reality sets in.

You are no longer here.

This fog has visited me many times also Kacy.  This is another beauty that I am keeping.  Well done gal.

How easily we slip into our dreams, until the brick wall of reality appears out of the fog.  Well done!  KJ

Oh, I was feeling sooo warm and fuzzy, and then somebody dumped a bucket of ice over my head - emotional change well expressed-

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.
