Mirrored Truth

It's true,
I link to you daily
my morning breath needing warmth
as the season removes my protective covering,
and I am untitled in the challenge of each day.

I turn down the covers each night,
placing my memories where they belong
where regrets are none
and dreams await the poetry
that lies in my heart.

I find my way through the darkness
blinded only by the touch of once
and the restless spirit
that flees my words before me
swirling them to trance me
into sleep.

The mirror never lies~~
and your reflection is always with me
caught in the truth
and the nakedness that belongs
to only me.
