Near golden sunsets

The pulsating seconds between
firsts and thirds
is no more a measure of
how many helpings of me
you've had than
the notches in your worn
leather belt.

But as my hand slowly
moves across my face to
wipe away another
second's time,
I can only sigh
and let you walk away.

and here you are still sad, and I tried so hard to make you smile the other day too...

If I just leave a hug, will you stick around this time?

You've been missed.

Those are Time's longest seconds. Hope you listen to sister Serenity, and spend more time with us.

good to read your words...in spite of being used which seems to be the undercurrent here, try and be positive about the outcome
