Behind the Times

I've never
won the lottery,
could never
win at hearts
or someone elses
it seems
at least not for the duration
of time

and time

an all inclusive important word
at least to me
probably the most important
since
time can be available for some
no time for others
time can get out of hand
can be released
can disappear
can be shortened in thought
lengthened in pain

and it never ends
for some:
in togetherness
in happiness
in emptiness
in loneliness

so now, I have
time on my hands
time to express
wishing for that moment
of
always

or at the least
an installment
of time
long overdue.
