Arrythmias

bring me back to center
when I drift too far outside
for my own good
an imbalance
within my equilibrium

then WHAM!

everything
stops
for a split second,

and that’s when
I acknowledge

Time

is of the essence

and I might not have
as much as I’d like.

So I take the moment,
breathe deeply of life,
and when I exhale,
remember I am
forever

in that last breath.

tremendous ponderings...when it all is said and done...it's not about any material thing
but it's about what we've truly accomplished
for the good of others...wearing a name plate of steel...which reads....care and kindness, not of material things, but encouragement for the truth of life.

Ah, yes. There's nothing like a skipped beat for centering the soul. Nicely done. I share the condition, be it a gift or an affliction. Bob

It is a sobering notion to know that every breath might be our last.  Well spoken.  KJ

lovely write, and there is so much wisdom here:

"So I take the moment,
breathe deeply of life,
and when I exhale,
remember I am
forever
in that last breath."

life is like the skip of a beat
to meet challanges and taste defeat...

but here we are for some strange reason
even if that depends on a change of season..

Clever write, with a very smooth and pondering ending. Nice Kacy.
