View from the airport carpet… Thundering down terminal’s carpeted way, feet trample Tiled cushioned brown, green, and nutmeg, all Slap slapping shoes, varied shapes and sizes, Styles of sleek leathers, nothing squeaking, except For rolling wheels carting luggage, and who doesn’t have This for accessories, now, after all? Kneecaps of all ages are eye level with me, as I sit here. Floored from any upset that could happen, Were I to allow it to, but there are always ways to circumvent A seismic mental stroke or two, unless it were a friendly stroke, or two… But that is not the option, so here I sit, under My ‘puter, waiting for the minutes to tick away, on any Other day of this adventure, they slid by much too fast… And today the moments linger like a bad perfume, or is that The baby that is sitting beside me, smiling as if A secret had been committed… Given that these bones of mine are old enough To creak after a time, I shall give up my seat On the floor to relegate my behind upon A more comfortable location, with no outlet To keep my battery from Losing juice for the long ride home. I shall have to sit, and read, or note notes the Old-fashioned way, and that is fine, too, some cud is ok To chew twice… The kneecaps I view are covered now. Those folk must be from Colder country. I am sure the warmer clime’d folk will be Coming by again soon…so many flights delayed and so many Being re-routed. You would think it was Christmas, The crazy state of affairs being what they are… But it is just “normal”, or so say, The regulars. |
