I Weep I know the storms are coming I hear them in tomorrow’s breath It is the impending pain that makes exquisite teardrops alter their shape into hardened candle wax Crystal drips of life to opaque remembrances Sweet oozes of transparent honey to the purple ofconcord But life only breathes its own essence The purity of dewdrops that settle on the eyelash is whatever arises from the heart Love is a pectin that sugars the grapes Love is the filter that purifies pain So that even the waters that gush out of sorrow are also sweetened in the depths of ecstasy Therefore when I cry out of love I cry for the winter and also for the spring I weep for the darkness as well as the light I weep for myself I weep for my tears I grieve for the winds of tomorrow that carry the fragrances of today For no matter the season, Love is present. No matter the tempest, Love is the calm Love is the hope The reason The purpose The breath of purity and the sweetness of the tear Elziabeth Santos October 9. 2004 |

Enjoying the soft and refreshing taste, the sweetness, as opposed to saltiness of love's tears. |

Breathtaking words.. very beautiful. I gotta save this one... "Poets are all who love, who feel great truths, and tell them; and the truth of truths is love." --Philip James Bailey |

"I know the storms are coming I hear them in tomorrow’s breath ... I cry for the winter and also for the spring I weep for the darkness as well as the light in..." Yes, it is enough to crack the soul. As always, you stop my thoughts and allow awareness. Thank you. |
