Tangible

Is love as tangible as the heart?
A question to ponder on the shores of peacefulness
Where the vessels that supply the crimson sunset
Traverse through a wondrous skyline
Bringing a smile to the face of those infatuated with beauty
While the true purpose of the heart is forgotten.
So many tears are comforted by a pillow’s kiss
When one reaches lonely hands into that forbidden sea
Only to be left with the grains of time---
Gentle sands that cut deep into the palm
Where red blood, pools and settles into a familiar shape
Transforming pain into something real;
Can you trace the delicate vessels of a dream?
My soul reminisces and smiles
Never wanting to awake ever again,
Because love sleeps in the heart of the lonely
And as true as an endless tear
That descends from the stars unseen
So are my words,
That question the tangibility of love.

Marcel

I am unsure if you actualy wanted a response to your query, but you framed it so nicely.

Can love be held like a blood pump from a beating heart?

I'm not a surgeon, but I have held a child, and I have held the head of the man who helped conceived the child while they both cried.

Smile.

Hope that answered your question...

it only began mine.

Nice bit of intrigue here Marcel. You expressed the desire for something hidden in the box most eloquently lovie.

Enjoyed. L)

without love we perrish, but your poem
serves up heaping questions...many have
especially our youth today...everyone teaches them, that they can only be
beautiful if they wear designer jeans
or trendy hairdos, immaculant scant
dresses...is the word sexy, beautiful?
Well, I suppose to some?
but to me, beauty was Veronica Lake
bearing little, yet showing forth so much
I do not fear nakedness...what I fear is
thinking it is something awful
To me, there is nothing more precious and sacred as love to family...

Very much enjoyed the ponderings you've so nicely inspired.

So deeply thoughtful, I must respond...
Yes Marcel, love is, just as the heart is...
And I believe that because the true purpose is one in the same...
We were created to thrive, and grow...and it is not by accident that the life force is channeled through one and the same.
What a wonderful rendering here.
