Work can be done by the disabled tasks successfully completed more able then we care to notice they go to summer camps rig tents on their own possess an enviable zest for challenges... the ones that get over the hurdle when legs give way to wheels, more so than we care to notice... more so a vocally present group authors of beveled curbs adequate access ramps A lot to learn from and admire took many years to build consciousness still many places are unreachable... the car is a preferred means of transport as they roll down sidewalks on their own.... Martin, I worked with the developmentally disabled a year after I was out of college. I was assigned the responsibility to assess their work performance. Which I did. But all of my ratings were down graded because they did not want to pay them that much. I think it was .50 per hour! But I know you are so right. We have much to learn. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

I think in terms of 'other-abled' and find that doing so opens doors that might otherwise remain closed, emotionally and physically....for everyone. Merci beaucoup, pour c'est un bon ecrit ici, Martin. J'espere que j'ecrivais ces mots correctemont. LOL, my French is very, very rusty. Mais pas le couer. |
