Silence bathes the brow of wearied lamb
as softness soaks the still lip.

Carried toward the ocean breeze, the tides
swaying inwardly against the rivers ebb.
Rising peacefully upon the waves of
morn...awaiting the rise of golden sun

Where lies the comfort of heart when
torrents rage the inner of self?   When
storms clashing the granite facade
weaken the resolve...

Lie still ‘pon the carpet green, bask
within the glow of noonday swirl.
Let not the swirling winds furrow
the weathered brow...for thou art
with me....Thy rod and thy staff...
shall comfort me...

Will they?

Barry - my dearest Sir - I am so happy to see you back upon the fields of blue - but oh, such a sorrowful post - sweet poet friend.  This aches -

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.

There lies the answer to it all.  A recline in the meadow with eyes and soul skyward can calm even the most turbulent storms even if just for a brief rest.

Excellent write and the flow and content superior.  Like the images I saw when reading as well which is always a sign of a good penning.

Dear Barry:

In my experience, yes, they will.

Wonderful to read you again, my friend.

I am a bit the weary lamb.  But I do find comfort for I know where to find my peace.

I love this! You reminded me to give thanks for His comfort.

Patricia

Yes, this is sad ... but it contains hope even in the final question ...

Very beautiful, dear Barry.

Love, Margherita
