For every heartfelt gesture, somehow only part is seen Giving credence to the hour be it blessed a rest serene As I point upon the fumblings of a chronic run away Suddenly the dam is broken pouring forth a poignant say In this closeness craved inside me, winds the thread of such self-doubt And it comes not with a branding, but with sharing still left out Just a change that needs correcting, and a strong man to be there It’s myself I am dissecting, as I search how much I care Without knowing of the going, time has emptied without word Yet I knew the sadness coming, every footstep my heart heard Like a juggler I have balanced many plates so full to spin On the outside such composure, as the chaos churns within A survival skill adapted, looked upon not good or bad But a necessary evil to exist the footpath had Without warning God struck thunder in the center of my heart Loves seeds planted on the slanted yet the floods would not depart There is something without reason, without explanations made That I fought as first I met you, yet forget you could not fade Though I stumble every footstep, tearing layers thin to skin I remain a priceless portrait ever changing outside in And I marvel at the future, as I lay to face the sun Knowing soul-ly, all and whole-y that you are the only one In conditions that require every grace my worth can place To your credit, dear and debit, I reveal this truth I face Copyright Kkh 10/01/04 [This message has been edited by ThisDiamond (10-02-2004 09:23 AM).] |

In this closeness craved inside me, winds the thread of such self-doubt And it comes not with a branding, but with sharing still left out Just a change that needs correcting, and a strong man to be there It’s myself I am dissecting, as I search how much I care ************************** Now that verse alone says quite abit and beautifully too. Has feeling, want, and a desire for self realization. ************************** A survival skill adapted, looked upon not good or bad But a necessary evil to exist the footpath had Without warning God struck thunder in the center of my heart Loves seeds planted on the slanted yet the floods would not depart ************************* When it hits hard, it hits and as you said, without warning. A great feeling though really and one that you take step by step while nurturing it's growth. Excellent poem and very much enjoyed. |
