I don't know if I would have made it through life if I didn't push And the first sound that filtered from your little mouth as you seemed to be looking at me I remember smelling you and kissing you on the forehead Looking down at you as you drink from me My life to you I gave The spitting image of your father and I Never could I want for anything more wonderful Rocking you in the night even though you slept like an angel I could hear you breathing So nervous I would get up and stand next to your crib Nothing was ever wrong, but it was right for me to be there I could see the years as they grew More like your father and less like me Time kept changing your features and you still have so many more to go One morning crawling to get the cereal The next standing and wanting to fight the dragons We live out of fantasies together But what I still enjoy most is hearing you breath at night as I stand there staring down at the beautiful child that Love has given me Love, Ladycat I love you Luke. Always will. Yea for being 4!!!! Farewell my forever friend, may safe journeys in life always lead you home. |

Very sweet, and something to be treasured. One can only hope Luke didn't turn out JUST LIKE YOU! You know, the Mother's Curse. |

Simply lovely. Our little ones certainly do pull at our heart strings and they don't stop. You've got a long way to go - enjoy! |
