Alley catch you say a prayer
Dancing on a hot tin roof
Who heats and melts you on the hoof
Dancing with your claws out
Who clips them when they stick out
Alley cat scratching low

Who is the one you love so
On the fence of pleasing nails
Who is the one who prevails
On your prowle you saunter so
Showing all to let them know
You are the neighbour's cat

Alley cat, alley cat
Smoozing with some nice chums
Rubbing noses
Whiskers numb
Do you wait until some bum

Throws a boot
At a bum
Who trusted life
And here I come
Like the internal you cant find
This cat is going behind
