Pushing grass aside it is heavy work Dew coming in bath and yes my shirt Is getting heavy as I push But home it is time for me To see a cherry door Latch there by my paw Fire be on in a minute Tree allows warmth And dry in another minute Peering out at the rain Dinner on Windows running As a bug in a rug I'm snug Don't tug Woven loom by spider's thread Lace dances around my head Cool's my old aching back Dancing webs for an old sack To lie In this warming place In comfort With my friends |
