You advise, the young, the old, to learn from your mistakes. You tell them how to live their lives, you know just what it takes. You speak to them of consequence, the wisdom of a choice. They listen to the tales you tell, awed by your gentle voice. But they don't know the "you" I know, don't know the things you've done. Don't know the terror that you caused when you and I were one. They don't see the "me" you left battered, broke and bruised. They don't see your gift from God, received and then abused. I can't tell them all you did, mere words would not suffice. I can only tell you dear, to live your own advise. Remember me with a smile on your face, or please don't remember me at all. |

Lucie, this was really good and I don't know why I'm the first to post, but I'm glad I am. I'm sending this back to the top. [This message has been edited by iliana (07-13-2004 11:14 PM).] |

This was a powerful write that came straight from your solar plexus into mine. You expressed your pain and frustration very well! Compassionate, loving hugs, EA |

I'm glad jo found this. It speaks. These words could belong to others I know. Thanks for putting them into voice. Susan Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |
